Let me introduce myself. My name is Jim Koudys, I am the owner operator of Kootur lumber and sawmill and I would like to offer to you an affordable line of plank flooring. I have been in the lumber business for 15 years and have built a reputation on quality and service. In recent years I have examined the flooring industry and realized that a trend is developing back to the wider width plank floor. I then began to research the feasibility of running a higher quality floor at a more reasonable rate. Through my experience and understanding in the lumber business and my research into milling higher grade lumber, I am able to find the balance between price and quality. As you can see from the price list I offer a variety of species and grades that are in lengths of 6 to12 feet and ¾ inches thick. All flooring is kiln dried to 6-8% are with no defects and no end match. We also are able to offer you length specific, with 15% added to the corresponding price, walnut strips for highlighting, baseboard and trim. New for this year is Ottawa River Run Pine, this pine is from the 1800’s and has been recovered from the bottom of the Ottawa river and is available in 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 inches in finished sizes. I currently run a portable Woodmizer mill from my Smithville location with a warehouse outlet located in Oakville.
